Jetty Rock Foundation is a locally established organization. It is a non-profit organization that was created in 2013 as a branch off of the Jetty Brand. It was created as a direct result of Jetty’s massive Sandy Relief efforts after super storm Sandy destroyed the life on Long Beach Island. Their mission is to protect our oceans and waterways, and support those who build their lives around them.
This summer The Jetty Rock Foundation is hosting their 13th Annual Coquina Jam, an all female surfing competition, July 25, 2021. This event is held to benefit local families battling a cancer diagnosis. Through both David’s Dream and Believe Foundation and the Jetty Rock Foundation 100% of the profits from the event will be donated to families in need. Each and every year there is a tremendous amount of support for the event, its organizers, its sponsors, and its surfers from the local community. Seeing all of the vendors and patrons come out for the event is an absolute highlight of the summer.
Four different businesses have help to make the Coquina Jam possible as a matching sponsor for a fundraising team of sixteen surfers. This means that they will be matching the amount dollar for dollar up to $2500. Those four businesses who are generous enough to commit to this donation are The Wright Law Firm, Tide Table Group, Fantasy Island LBI, and Farias Surf Sport alongside 506 Boutique. It is incredible how much love and support the surrounding community has already shown for this event and The Jetty Rock Foundation is hopeful that the support will continue to be shown on the day of the competition.
Special thank you to Sydney Kimmel Cancer Center, Jefferson Health, and Drs. David & Melissa Cognetti as the title sponsors for this years 2021 Coquina Jam. We really hope to see you there!
