16th Annual Card Board Boat Regatta

Family fun has just been brought to a new level! This is the perfect event for families looking for something fun to do for days. Stafford Recreation is holding its 16th Annual Card Board Boat Race! On August 3rd, 2021 take your handmade boat and see how long it can float! The Regatta is taking place at Manahawkin Lake Park and is free to participate in. The best part is your boat does not have to win the race in order to win a prize! There will be a trophy and bragging rights for the boat who manages to come in first, but there will be prizes awarded for the best spirit, most creative boat, and even the best SINK! Go down in style and you could win a prize!

Now is the time to start making blueprints, getting ideas flowing, and building your boat! The only rule of the event is you are only allowed to use TWO items to build you boat: cardboard, and duct tape. Boats in the regatta will compete in pairs to travel out around a buoy in the water and race back to the beach. Registration is open now!

After a fun filled day of racing card board boats, be sure to stay at the park for National Night Out! National Night Out is a night for endless family fun including food and drinks at the park. Both events are held to bring families together and have a fun day out with the community.
